Ordering Seasonal Packages for Someone at Neuse Correctional: Deadlines, Limits, and What Happens If an Order Is Cancelled
Seasonal packages are one of the easiest ways to send approved items to someone at Neuse Correctional—as long as you know the ordering window, possession limits, and what happens if an order gets cancelled.
Family and friends can order seasonal (Holiday) packages for people incarcerated in North Carolina statewide through the state’s inmate package vendor, Union Supply Direct. If your loved one is at Neuse Correctional, you’ll use that same statewide program - so you’re not trying to mail in random items or guess what will be accepted.
Here's what makes this program easier: every item on the North Carolina inmate package shopping pages is pre-approved for delivery. Shop from what's listed and you won't have to guess whether something will be rejected.
Seasonal packages are only available during specific ordering windows - and those dates are firm. For example, one Spring package window ran from Wednesday, January 7 through Friday, February 6. Miss the window, and you may not be able to place that seasonal order at all. Don't wait until "sometime this month."
If your loved one gets placed on a control status before the package ships - HCON, MCON, ICON, or Safekeeper - Union Supply Direct will cancel the order. You'll get a refund minus a $5.00 restocking fee. This explains why an order can disappear even after checkout: a status change right before shipping triggers automatic cancellation.
