Who Handles Money Deposits for NC Inmates: TouchPay, ViaPath/GTL, and ConnectNetwork (Who to Contact if Something Goes Wrong)

Sending money to someone in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC)? The vendor names on receipts and forms can be confusing. Here's how TouchPay, ViaPath/GTL, and ConnectNetwork fit together—and who to contact when a deposit doesn't go as planned.

NCDAC trust deposits are processed by TouchPay Holdings, L.L.C. TouchPay operates as GTL Financial Services and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Tel*Link Corporation (which does business as ViaPath Technologies). ConnectNetwork is also part of this same vendor ecosystem. That's why your receipts, forms, and customer support options might look like they're coming from different companies - they're all connected.

Sending a money order? Make it payable exactly to

Heads up: TouchPay states they're not responsible for money orders lost in the mail. Keep your receipt and consider using a trackable mailing method.

If TouchPay receives your money order but something's wrong with the deposit, they'll mail the money order and deposit slip back to you. The return goes to whatever sender address you wrote on the deposit slip - so double-check that it's complete and legible before you send anything.

  1. Wait at least one week after you mail it - the form’s instructions say not to reach out sooner than one week after mailing the money order.
  2. Email the money order support address - contact moneyorders@viapath.com for problems with mailed money orders.

Need additional forms or want to verify the mailing payment details? The deposit form directs you to ConnectNetwork.com, then to Ways to Pay > Mail. That's the path referenced on NCDAC paperwork for mailed deposits.

For general assistance through ConnectNetwork, you can call their toll-free number: (888) 428-1845.

For issues specifically about a mailed money order - missing, delayed, or rejected - email moneyorders@viapath.com. Wait at least one week after mailing before reaching out.
