How to Contact an Inmate at Facility

New Hampshire DOC uses ConnectNetwork by GTL (now Viapath) for most inmate communication. Inmates don't have internet access, so email and other messaging go through the approved provider rather than an open web connection. Keep that in mind as you figure out how to stay in touch.

Note: Inmates can receive email through the contracted vendor, but you'll need to get the inmate's email address directly from them.

Want to set up a visit? New Hampshire DOC handles scheduling through the GTL/Viapath visitation site at https://nhdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app.

How to Contact an Inmate at Facility

Steps to Follow

  • Use the GTL/Viapath visitation site to schedule visits: https://nhdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app
  • For most other ways of communicating with someone in NH DOC custody, plan on using ConnectNetwork by GTL (now Viapath).
  • If you make a Trust Fund or PIN Debit deposit through the vendor’s automated phone system, reference New Hampshire DOC Site ID 222.
  • Address letters like this:
  • Inmate Name
  • DOC ID #
  • NH State Prison
  • PO Box 14
  • Concord, NH 03302

Before scheduling a visit or sending money, double-check that you're using the correct provider portal (ConnectNetwork by GTL, now Viapath) and the visitation site at https://nhdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app. If you're depositing funds by automated phone system, confirm you're using Site ID 222 for New Hampshire DOC.

For email, you'll need the inmate's email address directly from them. There's no reliable way to guess it or look it up online. Also confirm current mail rules before sending anything. Inmates don't have internet access, and mail processing requirements can be strict, so make sure you're using the right format and address.
