New Hampshire State Prison for Men (NHSP‑M) sits at 281 North State Street, Concord, NH 03301. That's the facility's street address - but it's not what you'll use for standard inmate mail.

Address your envelope using the DOC's required format: the person's full name on the first line, their DOC ID number on the second, then "NH State Prison" followed by the PO Box address. The PO Box matters - this is the mailing address the DOC lists for inmate mail.

Example address block: Inmate Name DOC ID # NH State Prison PO Box 14 Concord, NH 03302 (For reference, the facility’s street address is 281 North State Street, Concord, NH 03301.)

Keep your letter to ten (10) pages or fewer. Have more to say? Split it into two separate letters rather than going over the limit.

Use blue or black ink only. If you normally write in other colors, switch to blue or black for anything going to NHSP‑M.
