How many people can visit at once at North Fork Corrections Facility (ODOC rule)
Planning a visit at North Fork Corrections Facility? ODOC tracks two separate headcounts: how many people can be on an inmate's approved visitor list overall, and how many can actually be in the visiting room at the same time.
Under ODOC rules, an inmate can have up to 20 people on their approved visitors list. Separately, no more than five approved visitors can visit that inmate at the same time, even if more than five people are approved overall.
Think of the 20-person limit as the total roster of people cleared to visit. Once someone is approved and added to the inmate's visitor list, they count toward that 20-person cap. This is the overall list limit, not the number of people who can walk in together.
Good to know: Children under 18 do not count against the 20-person maximum.
ODOC's visitation policy defines "immediate family" to include: a spouse; natural or surrogate parents; grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law; children (including stepchildren and adopted children); grandchildren; siblings; and an aunt or uncle.
Not yet approved? You'll need to fill out the Visitor Request Form (DOC 030118B) to get on the list.
Every visitor must submit a Visitor Application Form. If you're sending a paper copy, mail it to ODOC headquarters: Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Attn: Visitation Unit, P.O. Box 11400, Oklahoma City, OK 73136-0400. Make sure you address it to the Visitation Unit, not the inmate.
- ✓ If you’re 18 or older, expect a background check as part of the approval process.
- ✓ Plan ahead. Approval can take up to eight weeks.
- Bring guardianship documentation for minors - If you’re bringing a child to visit, be ready to provide paperwork that verifies guardianship (for example, a birth certificate or court/adoption papers).
- Reapply when a child turns 18 - Once that visitor turns 18, they must complete a visiting application themselves.
Tip: Even if several people are approved, only five can visit at the same time. If your group is larger than five, decide ahead of time who goes in first so nobody gets turned away at the door.
