How Commissary Works at Northampton County Jail: Ordering, Timing, and Securepak

Inmates at Northampton County Jail place commissary orders Friday through Sunday. Orders are delivered on Tuesday. If you're timing a deposit so someone can stock up for the week, that Friday–Sunday window is the deadline that matters.

Once an account is set up, inmates place orders through the inmate telephone system. If your loved one just got booked, establishing that account is the first step before they can order on their own.

You have a few ways to add money so your loved one can order commissary. You can mail a money order payable to "Northampton County IPP" - include the inmate's full name and Permanent I.D. number so it gets credited correctly. You can also deposit online through ConnectNetwork to the inmate's Offender Trust Fund; those deposits clear within 24 to 48 hours, and the service accepts MasterCard, Visa, or Discover. The county's current contract sets the commission rate for commissary and Securepak at 42.5%. This is the share tied to sales under the agreement, and it's one factor that affects item pricing.
