Scheduling Attorney Visits at NNRJ: Contact vs. Video and When to Call Which Number

Planning a contact attorney visit at Northern Neck Regional Jail (NNRJ)? You'll need to schedule ahead - contact attorney visitation is by appointment only.

Call 804-333-6419 and select option 3 to schedule a contact attorney visit. A jail representative will help set up your appointment. Call Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

Give yourself lead time. NNRJ requires contact attorney appointments be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance (the facility also references "24 business hours"). Don't wait until the day before a weekend or holiday.

The jail's phone menu may also direct you to select option 7 when calling 804-333-6419 for attorney visit scheduling. Either route works - just remember to schedule at least 24 hours ahead.

Selecting option 7 transfers you to a jail representative who can help schedule your visit.

Visitation Hours

• ✓ 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• ✓ 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• ✓ 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Video Registration and Timing

• ✓ Register as an attorney before using NNRJ’s attorney/professional remote video visitation website.
• ✓ Submit a photo of yourself and your bar card as part of registration.
• ✓ Wait for approval - video appointments can’t be scheduled until your registration is approved.

1. Plan your login window - be ready to sign in shortly before the appointment.
2. Log in 10–20 minutes early - NNRJ instructs attorneys to log in at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, but no more than 20 minutes before.
