NNCC uses GettingOut.com (through NDOC) for all communication between incarcerated people and their approved contacts. Want to text, send photos, share 30-second video clips, or do video visits? You'll need to create a GettingOut.com account first. Then add the person you want to contact as a connection inside your account.

Reminder: All messages, photos, videos, and video visits through GettingOut.com are subject to monitoring and recording.

  1. Go to GettingOut.com - Open your browser and go to gettingout.com.
  2. Open the login page - Click the login link in the upper right of the page.
  3. Start a new account - Click the “Create one here” button to create your GettingOut.com account.
  1. Search for the person you want to contact - Use the search tool to look them up.
  2. Confirm you have the right match - Results show the person’s name, booking number, booking date, and date of birth.
  3. Add them as a contact - Click the green plus symbol next to the correct entry to send the invitation to connect.

Once the person accepts your invitation, they'll appear on your home screen. From there, you can deposit funds for messaging, send messages, or schedule a video visit. If this is your first time setting things up, wait until they show as connected on your home screen before trying to message or schedule anything.

Note: Messages, photos, videos, and video visits are monitored and recorded, so assume anything shared through the platform can be reviewed.

Attorneys start the same way: create a GettingOut.com account first. After that, you can request an exception for non-recorded video visits and phone calls by emailing ViapathNVTechs@viapath.com. This exception process covers visits and calls only, not messaging.

  • Include your name in the email
  • Include your address
  • Include the phone number(s) you want authorized for private calls
  • Include your BAR number for validation
  • Do not request private messaging: there are no exceptions to allow non-recorded private messaging through GettingOut.com
