How to send messages, photos, and packages
Video Teleconferencing (VTC) at Northern State Prison runs 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays? No sessions available. To schedule, fax your request to the institution or coordinator at least 48 hours in advance (excluding weekends and holidays). Start times should be no later than one hour before closing whenever possible, and sessions won't be scheduled to end after 4:00 PM unless there's a special arrangement both parties agree to. VTC communications are privileged and confidential—no third person can be present unless both the inmate and their attorney or court officer authorize it. If there's a confidentiality breach, report it in writing to the participating agency and NJDOC within 48 hours.
