Who to Contact at Northwest State Correctional Facility and the DOC Constituent Services unit

For facility-wide concerns at Northwest State Correctional Facility (NWSCF), start with Superintendent Greg Hale. Assistant Superintendents Michael Beyor and Lori Madden handle administration and operations - they can help route your question to the right place.

Day-to-day custody and security concerns go to Adam Patterson, the Security and Operations Supervisor. Housing questions? Contact Living Unit Supervisors Brad Dunsmore or Chris Lapan - they oversee the living units and handle the routine issues that come up inside.

For accessibility needs, reach out to Facility ADA Coordinator Lori Madden (Chris Lapan serves as backup). Business-side questions - anything touching accounts or facility financial processes - go to Facility Business Manager Patrick Dixon.

Questions that go beyond a quick phone call - programming, visiting, procedures, mail, medical care, housing, or movement - should go through the DOC Online Portal. Submit your question there, and Constituent Services says someone will respond within 48 hours.

Hours: Constituent Services is open 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

  1. Write down your loved one’s name and ID number - having both ready speeds up almost every request.
  2. Use the DOC Inmate Locator if you don’t have the ID - it can be used to look up an incarcerated individual’s ID number.
  3. Keep that ID handy for vendor calls - phone-system and account support usually goes faster when you can provide it right away.
