How to Send Money to Facility
Sending money is straightforward once you know the approved method. You'll send a money order to JPay (not the facility), and funds typically clear within a few business days.
Warning: Do not mail cash, checks, or any other form of money to VADOC facilities or headquarters. Mailed funds will be rejected.
Send a money order along with a deposit slip to JPay at P.O. Box 278170, Miramar, FL 33027. Once JPay receives it, the funds show up in the inmate's account within three business days.
Steps Follow
- ✓ Get a money order (do not send cash or checks)
- ✓ Include a deposit slip with the money order
- ✓ Mail it to: JPay, P.O. Box 278170, Miramar, FL 33027
Timing: Once JPay receives the money order, funds will be available to the inmate within three business days.
Don't tuck cash or a personal check into a letter to the facility. VADOC rejects any money mailed to facilities or headquarters, including checks, cash, and other items of monetary value.
- Confirm the JPay mailing address: Verify that your money order is going to JPay, P.O. Box 278170, Miramar, FL 33027.
- Confirm the deposit slip requirement: Make sure you include the deposit slip with the money order.
- Confirm current processing times: Funds are expected to be available within three business days after JPay receives the money order, but it is smart to verify if timing has changed.
- Double-check the “do not mail money” rule: Before you send anything, confirm you are not mailing cash, checks, or other monetary items to a VADOC facility or headquarters (those will be rejected).
