When Can You Visit at OCCC? Time Blocks for General Population and Special Units

Visits at Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) run seven days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The only exception? State holidays - no visits are held on those days.

Note: Hours and rules can shift for operational reasons. Call (808) 832-1633 before you travel to confirm visits are happening as scheduled.

When Can You Visit at OCCC? Time Blocks for General Population and Special Units

General population visits at the main facility happen during two sessions: 7:30–10:00 and 11:00–11:30. Whichever slot you're scheduled for, expect a short visit - 30 minutes, non-contact.

  • ✓ Arrive and check in 15 minutes before your scheduled visit.
  • ✓ Keep your group small: no more than two visitors total, including children.
  • ✓ Plan ahead - only one visit per inmate is allowed each week.

Special housing units have their own time blocks. Module 8 (Max Unit) visits run 11:30–12:00. Module 7 follows from 12:00–12:30 - the schedule lists it as

Reminder: Module 8 and Module 7 visits follow the same format as other OCCC visits - 30 minutes long and non-contact.

To schedule a visit, call (808) 832-1633. Scheduling calls are taken Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is also the best way to confirm you're booking the right time block for your loved one's current housing assignment.

  1. Call to schedule - Contact (808) 832-1633 Monday–Friday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
  2. Confirm the housing/module - Ask which unit your loved one is in so you’re placed in the correct session.
  3. Arrive early for check-in - Show up and check in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled visit time.

Heads up: OCCC may adjust visiting hours for operational needs, and visitation areas are sanitized between sessions. If you're traveling in, call (808) 832-1633 first to make sure visits are still running as planned.
