How to Pay Court Costs and Fines in Obion County (when you can't use a personal check)

Trying to pay court costs in Obion County? Here's the main thing to know: the clerk's office won't accept personal checks. Show up with one, and you'll have to leave and come back with a different payment method.

  • Cash
  • Cashier’s check
  • Money order
  • Credit card
  • Debit card

Note: Fines and tickets are paid upstairs at the courthouse in the General Sessions office, and you’ll need to pass through security to access the upstairs court offices.

Don't want to go in person? You can pay online for Circuit and General Sessions cases at courtfeepay.com. This works well if you're out of town or just want to handle it quickly without the trip to the courthouse.

Heads up: Online payments come with a service charge of 3% or $3.00.

Can't pay right away? Call the clerk's office and ask about your options. Find out the total amount due and whether any deadlines are coming up. Then ask what payment methods they'll accept from you.
