How to Mail a JPay Money Order to Someone at Oklahoma State Penitentiary

Mailing a JPay money order is straightforward once you know the limits, what to write on the deposit slip, and where to send it. The biggest cause of avoidable delays? Missing sender information on the form.

For Oklahoma JPay money order deposits, the maximum amount per money order is $999.99. If you need to send more than that, you'll need to split it into separate deposits or use a different method.

There's also an overall cap on inmate trust accounts. Oklahoma DOC limits account balances to $99,999,999.99.

  1. Fill in the recipient’s information - Enter the incarcerated person’s full name and ID number exactly as it appears in records.
  2. Add your mailing address - Put your complete sender mailing address on the deposit form. JPay requires it to process the deposit.
  3. Add your email address - Include a valid email address on the deposit form. Without it, the money order will not be processed.

Don't skip this: JPay won't process a money order deposit without a valid email and mailing address on the deposit form.

No extra notes: If you include letters or notes in the envelope with your payment, JPay discards them.

Mail the money order and completed JPay deposit slip to the address printed on the Oklahoma money order deposit form: JPay, PO Box 278320, Miramar, FL 33027. Write the address clearly and include the full PO Box so it routes correctly.

  • Keep the money order at or under $999.99
  • Make sure the deposit slip includes the incarcerated person’s full name and ID number
  • Make sure the deposit slip includes your mailing address and your email address
  • Mail it to: JPay, PO Box 278320, Miramar, FL 33027
  • Do not include letters or notes in the envelope

If the deposit slip is missing a valid email address or your mailing address, JPay won't process the money order. Before you seal the envelope, double-check those fields along with the recipient's name and ID number. One missing detail can hold up the entire payment.

There's no published timeline for when funds post after you mail the money order. Plan for normal mail delivery time plus processing on JPay's end. If it's been longer than expected, start by confirming the envelope was delivered and that your deposit slip included a valid email and mailing address.
