How to send a money order to an inmate at Oklahoma State Penitentiary (JPay instructions)
Sending funds by money order through JPay? Keep each money order under the single-payment cap of $999.99. Fill out the JPay Money Order Deposit Slip carefully - type or print in blue or black ink. Incomplete or hard-to-read slips can delay processing.
- ✓ Recipient’s full name (last, first)
- ✓ Recipient’s ID number
- ✓ Recipient’s state (OK)
- ✓ Your first and last name (person making payment)
- ✓ Your mailing address (street address, city, state, ZIP)
- ✓ Your phone number
- ✓ Your email
Mail your payment to JPay's processing center, not to the prison. Put the money order and completed deposit slip in the same envelope and send it to: JPay, PO Box 278320, Miramar, FL 33027.
Note: Make sure the money order and the deposit slip are both inside the same envelope before you mail it.
Don't include a personal note or letter with your payment. JPay discards any letters or notes sent with money orders.
Missing contact information is one of the most common problems. JPay won't process your deposit unless the form includes a valid email address and mailing address. Double-check those fields before sealing the envelope.
- ✓ Write a valid email address on the deposit slip
- ✓ Include your full mailing address on the deposit slip
- ✓ Print clearly so your contact info is legible
Wondering about limits on the inmate's trust account? ODOC caps account balances at $99,999,999.99 - so that's unlikely to be a concern.
