You can deposit funds through Access Corrections by signing up online or using the Access Corrections mobile app. If you prefer to pay by card, Secure Deposits (through Access Corrections) accepts Visa and MasterCard, with deposits available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One restriction to plan for: all deposits and money orders must be in U.S. funds, and Access Corrections only accepts money orders and checks drawn from U.S. financial institutions. A U.S.-based address is also required (international addresses are not accepted).

Note: Deposits must be in U.S. funds. Money orders and checks must be drawn from a U.S. financial institution, and a U.S.-based address is required (no international addresses).

Some institutions also allow in-person drop-off of a check or money order at the prison, typically into a lobby box labeled "Inmate Funds." This option isn't available everywhere. Call the institution first to confirm before making a trip.

  1. Use Access Corrections online or the mobile app: Create an account, then follow the prompts to deposit funds to the inmate.
  2. Make a card deposit through Secure Deposits: Use a Visa or MasterCard. This option is available 24/7.
  3. Call Access Corrections for help or to deposit by phone: Use the toll-free number 1-866-345-1884. Bilingual representatives are available 24/7.
  4. Use cash drop-off locations (cash-only) if you need to pay in cash: Enroll with Cash Pay Today to find nearby drop-off locations. For information, call 1-844-340-CASH (2274).
  • If you drop off a check or money order in person, make it out to the inmate and include the inmate’s commitment number.
  • Expect a 7-business-day hold on all money orders over $200 and on all personal checks.
  • Use U.S. funds, and make sure any money order or check is drawn from a U.S. financial institution and tied to a U.S.-based address (no international addresses).

Before relying on an in-person deposit, call the institution to confirm it's allowed and to ask about the drop-off process (including whether you need to include the commitment number on the payment). If you plan to use a personal check or a money order over $200, ask about the hold policy so a delay doesn't catch you off guard. The stated policy is a 7-business-day hold for money orders over $200 and for all personal checks.

If you're using Access Corrections, make sure you're enrolled correctly (online or in the app). Run into issues? Their toll-free support line is 1-866-345-1884, with bilingual representatives available 24/7. Planning to deposit cash instead? Confirm your Cash Pay Today drop-off location and the exact steps for a cash-only deposit. That customer service number is 1-844-340-CASH (2274).
