How to Receive Money or Property from an Inmate at Orange County Jail
Getting money or property from someone at Orange County Jail means following the jail's release process. First, the inmate needs to authorize the release. Then you show up during release hours with valid ID.
Before Orange County Jail will release money from an inmate's account, the inmate must authorize it. They do this by completing a money release form (form 10-1007) and mailing it to you. Without that form in hand, the jail won't release the funds.
Pickup Hours
- ✓ Tuesday evenings: 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm
- ✓ Wednesday mornings: 7:15 am to 8:45 am
- ✓ Saturday and Sunday mornings: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon)
- ✓ Saturday and Sunday evenings: 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm
Note: BRC, bondsmen, and attorneys can receive property and money releases 24/7, except during shift change (5:00 am to 7:00 am and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm).
You'll need a valid driver's license or state ID to pick up inmate money.
Inmates get one money release per incarceration. The release amount can be up to what was deposited at the time of arrest.
Note: After a money release, the inmate’s account must still maintain a minimum balance of $30.
