Orange County Jail Video Visit Rules: What You Need to Know Before You Go

Orange County Jail allows three video visits per week per inmate. Juggling work, school, or childcare? Plan around that cap. Once those three sessions are used, you'll have to wait until the following week.

  • Maximum of three visitors per video session (total)
  • No more than two adult visitors per video session

The Video Visitation Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the last session starting at 9 p.m. That cutoff matters. If you book an evening slot, give yourself enough time to arrive, check in, and be seated before your scheduled start.

  1. Arrive at least 15 minutes early - give yourself a buffer for check-in so you’re ready to start on time.
  2. Be there before your session start time - if you arrive after the scheduled session begins, you won’t be admitted to visit.
  3. Plan as if you can’t step out - if you exit the Visitation Center for any reason, you won’t be allowed back in.

Staff will deny entry if they believe you're under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If there's any chance you could come across that way - smell, behavior, anything - reschedule. A wasted trip and a missed visit aren't worth the risk.

Keep it clean and calm: All visits are monitored and may be recorded, so assume everything you say and do can be reviewed later.

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing your date of birth. You'll need it at check-in. No ID - or one that doesn't meet the requirement - means your visit won't happen.

Your first appointment must be scheduled by phone at least one day ahead. Call the Visitation Center at (407) 836-8061. You'll also receive a unique visitor ID number - keep it handy, because you'll need it every time you schedule a visit.

If the audio/video isn’t working: Tell the visitation staff immediately if you have reception problems during your visit.
