How to Put Money on an Inmate’s Account at Ordnance Road (kiosk, online, phone) and Commissary Deadlines
Trying to fund commissary at Ordnance Road? The key is using the approved deposit options and making sure the money lands before the Wednesday night cutoff for Thursday orders.
Everyone admitted to Ordnance Road gets a commissary account. Any cash collected during intake goes straight into that account. Commissary runs as a non-cash system, so your loved one spends from their account balance rather than handling physical money. They're allowed one commissary order per week.
Family and friends make deposits through Access Corrections. You can pay online through Access Corrections or call 866-345-1884. When setting up the deposit, use facility number 221401 so the money routes to the correct detention center account.
Help available: Access Corrections has live bilingual agents available 24/7 to help with deposits by phone or online.
If you want to deposit in person, the lobby kiosks are located in the front lobbies of the Jennifer Road and Ordnance Road Detention Centers.
Lobby Kiosk Denoms
- ✓ Accepted kiosk bills: $5, $10, $20, $50, $100
- ✓ Not accepted: coins
- ✓ Not accepted: $1 bills
Money orders are not accepted for deposits. You also cannot hand cash to detention center staff or make deposits directly through them. Stick with the lobby kiosk or Access Corrections (online or by phone).
Deadline: Deposits must be completed by midnight Wednesday to be included in Thursday’s commissary order.
Since commissary is non-cash, your loved one can only order from whatever balance is already on their account when orders are processed. One order per week, and the deposit cutoff is strict. If you want the funds available for the Thursday commissary order, get the deposit fully completed by midnight Wednesday.
