Scheduling a DSU No-Contact (Basic) Visit: How to Request a Behind-Glass Visit

You can request a DSU basic visit two ways: submit an electronic request or call (503) 373-0113. Either way, make your request at least 72 hours ahead of time - last-minute requests won't meet the scheduling requirement.

Important: Voicemail messages left at (503) 373-0113 are not considered a scheduled visit.

If you call to schedule, make sure you actually speak with someone. Leaving a voicemail won't count as a scheduled visit. Going the electronic route? Save a copy of what you submitted so you can reference it if you need to follow up.

Each DSU basic visit allows a maximum of two visitors. The person in DSU can only have one visit per week, so plan ahead and choose the date and time that works best.

  • 8:30 a.m. (1-hour time slot)
  • 9:30 a.m. (1-hour time slot)
  • 1:30 p.m. (1-hour time slot)
  • 2:30 p.m. (1-hour time slot)

If you're scheduling by phone, don't rely on voicemail - it won't count as a scheduled visit. I'd also suggest keeping a record of your request, whether that's a copy of your electronic submission or notes on when you called and what you asked for. Having those details handy makes follow-up easier.
