Visiting at Pam Lychner State Jail starts with the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. You need to create your own account (staff cannot make one for you) and verify your email with the 7-digit code sent during registration. To add an inmate, enter their 8-digit TDCJ or SID number. Your relationship request then goes to the unit for verification. In some cases, the Schedule Visit button may be disabled or show "Call Unit." The scheduler covers Regular, Contact, and Video/Tablet visits. Follow allowed-item rules, and expect vehicle searches on TDCJ property.

Read full guidePam Lychner State Jail accepts inmate trust fund deposits through several channels: money orders or cashier's checks, ACH, ACE, eCommDirect, and JPay TouchPay. Since September 1, 2020, only people listed on the inmate's Approved Visitation List or Inmate Telephone List can deposit funds. Don't send cash or personal checks. They aren't accepted and will be returned. Single transactions of $500 or more are held for 14 days before the inmate can access the money. If you use eCommDirect, purchases are capped by quarter (Jan–Mar $70, Apr–Jun $70, Jul–Sep $70, Oct–Dec $95) and limited to one purchase per inmate per day. Orders arrive within five business days after TDCJ receives purchase details. Newly received inmates cannot get eCommDirect purchases until the next calendar quarter after entry.
