How to Sign Up for Patrick County Alerts (and who to call if you don't have a computer)
Patrick County uses Everbridge to send local alerts. Here's how to pick the right options during signup—and who to call if you need help registering without a computer.
Patrick County's Everbridge alerts use a few key terms to signal how serious a message is. An Advisory means an event is expected to stay below warning criteria - but it can still cause significant inconvenience. A Watch means conditions are favorable and there's a good chance the event may happen. A Warning is the most urgent. It means an event is imminent, and you should take action to protect life and property.
Key Steps Register
- ✓ Under “My Alerts,” click the box in front of “Community Alerts” to receive Patrick County-specific messages.
- ✓ Don’t choose categories under the “Community Alerts” header - Patrick County says there’s no need to select categories there.
- ✓ In “Patrick County Weather & Hazard Alerts,” don’t check the box beside the section name - use the “+” icon to pick each individual alert category you want.
