How to Request a Special Visit (Outside Regular Hours) — Pennington County Jail

You'll need to request a special visit at least 24 hours ahead. These aren't guaranteed - staff will schedule them based on availability and typically only after confirming you can't attend during regular hours.

Special visits are limited because the jail already offers regular in-person visitation on Wednesday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are built-in limits too: detainees get one visit per scheduled visiting day, and only two visitors are allowed per visitation period.
