How to Set Up Phone Calls and Unblock a Number at Piedmont Regional Jail

Piedmont Regional Jail offers two ways for offenders to make phone calls. With the debit system, calls are paid from funds in the offender's account. Collect calls work differently - the person receiving calls needs to set up a payment plan before they can accept them.

Each offender is allowed up to 10 phone numbers on their approved phone list. If you’re not getting calls, it’s worth confirming that your number is one of the numbers currently approved for that offender.

Setup Payment Deposit

  • Set up a collect-call payment plan by calling 1-814-949-3303
  • Set up a collect-call payment plan online through OffenderConnect.com

For debit calls, you can add funds to the offender's account online through GettingOut.com (ViaPath). Have the offender's details handy so the deposit goes to the right account.

How to Set Up Phone Calls and Unblock a Number at Piedmont Regional Jail
  1. Call Piedmont Regional Jail - Use (434) 392-1601.
  2. Ask for the Watch Commander on duty - Tell them your phone number is blocked and you want to request that it be unblocked.

Note: Piedmont Regional Jail’s main phone number is (434) 392-1601. The facility lists a street address of 801 Industrial Park Road, Farmville, VA 23901 and a mailing address of P.O. Drawer 388, Farmville, VA 23901.

Quick Tips

  • If calls aren’t coming through, confirm your number is on the offender’s approved phone list.
  • Decide whether you’re setting up collect calls (payment plan on your end) or funding the offender’s account for debit calls.
  • Keep the offender’s identifying details handy when you call customer support or make an online deposit.
  • If your number was blocked, call the jail and ask for the Watch Commander rather than trying to “fix” it by changing carriers or using a different phone.
