Video Visit Rules That Can Get You Banned from Pitt County Detention Center

Keep things calm. Loud talking, excessive emotionalism, or other disruptive behavior isn't allowed during video visits. Push the conversation into disruptive territory and your visit can end early.
Zero-tolerance: Nudity or sexual conduct during a video visit is not permitted and will result in loss of video visitation privileges.
The detention center can deny video visits if they determine a visitor poses a clear and present danger to facility security or safety. This isn't about missing a rule - it's a judgment call by the facility.
- A Captain recommends a permanent denial - the restriction has to be recommended at the Captain level.
- The Jail Administrator approves it - a permanent denial requires approval by the Jail Administrator.
- You’re notified by letter - the facility sends the visitor a letter about the permanent visitation restriction.
