What Attorneys and Legal Professionals Need to Know to Visit Pitt County Detention Center
Professional visits at Pitt County Detention Center are straightforward—show up during the right window with the right credentials. Use the checklist below before you head over.
Professional (onsite) visits run Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. That long window makes it easier to fit a visit around court, travel, or late prep sessions. Just plan for occasional facility interruptions that can pause inmate movement.
Weekend hours are split: Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to Noon, then 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Show up between Noon and 5:00 PM? You'll be waiting until the evening window opens.
Head to the Public Magistrates Office and check in at the records window. Need to coordinate ahead of time? Call the Mail Disbursement Office at (252) 902-2868.
