Auburn Jail offers professional visiting hours seven days a week across four daily blocks: 7:30 am to 10:30 am, Noon to 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. If you're juggling court appearances, interviews, or travel, these split windows give you solid mid-day and evening options to work with.

South Placer Jail also has professional visiting hours seven days a week, with longer daytime access: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, then 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The morning-to-midafternoon block is the main stretch for same-day visits.

Schedule and contact-visit limits: At South Placer, no contact or non-contact visits are allowed from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm or 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Contact visits at the Roseville Adult Correctional Facility are currently suspended. At Auburn, professional contact visits are approved case by case and require the inmate's agreement.

Bring proper identification and plan your arrival carefully. Professional visitors must be checked in 15 minutes before the visiting session ends. Even a few minutes past that cutoff can cost you the visit.

Staff will search handbags, briefcases, and any other containers you bring in. For attorneys (or duly approved legal representatives) attending an approved legal visit, those searches are limited to a cursory examination for contraband. Written materials may also be inspected, but staff will do so as unobtrusively as possible, checking only that nothing contains contraband.

Bringing a laptop or tablet? The check-in officer will go over connectivity rules before you head in. Using cellular service or open Wi‑Fi on those devices during a professional visit is strictly prohibited.

If contact visits aren't available or haven't been approved, video visitation is an option. Placer County jails offer both on-site and remote video visitation. The county provides a PDF called "Video Visitation Scheduling Instructions" that walks you through enrollment, scheduling, and booking a session.
