What to Do If You Forgot Your TDCJ Visitation Scheduler Password (Lucile Plane State Jail)
Can't remember your TDCJ Visitation Scheduler password? You can reset it directly from the login page. Just enter your email address and click the
- Go to the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler login page - Open your browser and go to https://visitation.tdcj.texas.gov/Visitation/startLoginAction.action.
- Enter the email address on your account - Use the same email you originally used to create your scheduler account.
- Click “Forgot Password/Reset Password” - This starts the password reset process.
- Follow the instructions in the email you receive - The message will include the steps you need to reset your password and sign back in.
Note: The scheduler sends password reset instructions by email. If you don’t complete the steps in that message, your password won’t change.
No Email Received
- ✓ Check your spam/junk folder for the password reset message.
- ✓ Make sure you typed your email address correctly on the reset screen.
- ✓ Make sure you’re using the exact email address tied to your scheduler account (not a newer email you switched to later).
One common snag is the email address itself. In the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler, once an account is created for an email address, that account can’t be deleted and the email address on it may not be changed. So if you’re checking the wrong inbox, the reset email won’t show up.
If you’re stuck because you can’t access the email tied to your scheduler account, or you can’t get the reset to work, it may be time to ask for help. TDCJ staff can’t create a visitor account for you, but once an account exists they can assist with updating information like names and addresses.
