What Happens If You Show Nudity During a Video Visit at Polk County Jail
Video visits at Polk County Jail require you to be fully and appropriately clothed on camera. Nudity isn't allowed - even if it's brief or "accidental."
Video visitation is a privilege, not a right. The jail can deny, cancel, or terminate a visit at any point if there's misconduct by you or the inmate.
Note: Attorneys must apply for the POLK COUNTY ATTORNEY ONLY site designation, but they still have to follow the same visitor dress code.
Display any nudity during a video visit, and you'll face a one-month ban. During that time, you won't be able to schedule or complete any video visits.
A second offense doubles the penalty: a two-month ban from all video visits.
Three strikes and you could be out for good. After a third offense, the jail may ban you indefinitely from video visitation.
The jail can act immediately if something inappropriate happens on screen. Staff may deny, cancel, or cut off a video visit - whether before it starts or mid-session - based on misconduct by either party.
Misconduct can lead to more than a disconnected call. Behavior that's considered immoral or disruptive to the program can result in permanent revocation of visitation privileges. In some cases, criminal charges may be filed.
Practical Advice and Related Rules
- ✓ Wear appropriate clothing for the entire visit, from the moment you connect until you disconnect.
- ✓ Check your camera framing before the call so you’re not adjusting clothing on screen.
- ✓ Keep the environment “visit-ready” so you don’t accidentally show nudity on camera.
A little planning goes a long way. Anywhere video visits run through the Securus system and cost $10.00 for 20 minutes (plus tax). Inmates can have two Anywhere video visits per week, 20 minutes each. Your Securus account name must match your photo ID exactly. You'll need to upload a copy of your ID plus a photo of yourself for approval, which can take up to 48 hours. When scheduling, all visit creations, changes, and cancellations require 24-hour notice and must be completed by 6:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled visit.
