How to Create a TDCJ Visitation Scheduler Account (Polunsky visitors)
Planning to visit someone at the TDCJ Polunsky Unit? You'll need to start by creating an account in the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. Here's how to set it up correctly the first time, and what to watch out for.
First, you'll create an account using your email address. After you submit it, the system sends a confirmation email with a 7-digit validation code and a link to finish your registration.
Once your profile is set up, you can add the person you want to visit by searching with their TDCJ number or SID number. From there, you can start submitting visit requests through the scheduler.
- Start account creation with your email: Enter a valid email address and submit it.
- Open the registration email: You’ll receive an email containing a 7-digit validation code and a link to complete the registration.
- Finish registration through the link: Use the link from the email to return to the scheduler and complete the registration steps (including entering the 7-digit code).
- Create your password: Set your password as part of the registration flow so you can log in going forward.
- Complete it yourself: Make sure you personally finish the registration, since visitors must create their own accounts.
Warning: Visitors must create their own TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler accounts. TDCJ staff cannot create visitor accounts for you.
During setup, you'll need to complete the Background Questionnaire. Every question must be answered before the system lets you move forward. Plan to finish it in one sitting if you can.

Warning: Once an account is created for an email address, that account cannot be deleted, and the email address may not be changed.
Stuck during signup? TDCJ staff can't create an account for you. You'll need to complete the registration yourself using your email, the 7-digit validation code, and the registration link the scheduler sends you.
Forgot your password? Enter your email address on the login screen and click the Forgot Password/Reset Password link. The system will email you steps to create a new one.
To add an inmate to your profile, search using either their TDCJ number or SID number. The number must be exactly 8 digits long. Double-check you're not missing a digit (or adding an extra one) before submitting.
- Search using the correct ID number: Enter the inmate’s TDCJ number or SID number (it must be exactly 8 digits).
- Submit the request from your profile: Follow the prompts to add them to your profile so you can start making visit requests.
- Make sure your questionnaire is complete: If you have not answered every Background Questionnaire question, go back and finish it so you can proceed.
