Before Your First Visit to Potter County Jail: What to Bring and What to Leave Outside

You'll need a valid photo ID to enter visitation at Potter County Jail. Accepted forms include a Texas driver's license or ID card (out-of-state licenses work too), a current military ID, or a current alien identification card. Show up without one of these, and you won't make it past check-in.

Paper license exception: If you only have a paper Texas or out-of-state driver's license, bring a second photo ID that shows your current address.

Potter County Jail requires proper dress attire for all visitors. The basics: wear shoes and a shirt. Skip these, and you'll be asked to leave and change before visiting.
