Phone Rules, Blocking Calls, Emergency Messages, and What the ADC Will Tell You
Inmates at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center (ADC) can make unlimited collect calls. The phones are available between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. - so if you're expecting a call, that's your window.
You can't call inmates directly. The facility doesn't allow incoming calls, so all phone contact has to start with the inmate placing a collect call to you.
- Use the phone system’s prompts - If you don’t want to receive calls from an inmate, follow the instructions on the phone system to block the number.
- Call the phone provider for help blocking calls - You can also contact Inmate Telephone, Inc. at 814-949-3303 to request that calls be blocked.
Need help with the inmate phone service? You can reach the local Inmate Telephone Site Administrator at 703-792-5414 for questions.
- Call the Control Center Officer - Emergency messages for inmates should be given to the Control Center Officer at 703-792-6420.
- Share the emergency message clearly - Provide the information you need passed along, and be ready to answer follow-up questions as needed.
Note: All emergency messages are verified by staff before they are given to the inmate.
Calling the ADC to check on someone? Staff can share basic information: current court status, criminal charges, bond details (if applicable), the next court date, and a release date if the inmate has been sentenced. This doesn't apply to juveniles - no information will be released about minors.
- ✓ For information on an inmate, call (703) 792-6420 (TTY: 711) and go through the directory.
