Using FDLE's Cyber Communication System (CCS): who can use it, what you can update online, and how to handle login problems
CCS isn't available to everyone. If you're registered in Putnam County, you can only use FDLE's Cyber Communication System if you're not currently under supervision with the Florida Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Anyone on DOC or DJJ supervision must report changes in person instead.
Scope Updates
- ✓ Internet identifiers used for social internet communication (must be reported within 48 hours after use)
- ✓ Email addresses (within 48 hours after use)
- ✓ Phone numbers (within 48 hours of a change)
- ✓ Employment information (within 48 hours of a change)
- ✓ Campus information related to enrollment, employment, or volunteering (within 48 hours of a change)
- ✓ In-state travel residences (within 48 hours of establishing an in-state travel residence)
- ✓ Vehicles owned (within 48 hours of a change)
Reminder: Many CCS updates have a 48-hour reporting window (including internet identifiers, emails, phone numbers, employment, campus information, in-state travel residences, and vehicles). Don’t wait until the next in-person visit to handle time-sensitive changes.
You can access CCS through the Florida Sexual Offender/Predator Public Registry site or go directly to the CCS login page. Sign in with your username and password. You won't create these credentials yourself - your CCS username and temporary password are set up during initial registration at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, so first-time access is tied to that in-person visit.
- Check the registration form first - the username is shown on the registration form, so look there before you do anything else.
- Try the “Forgot Username” or “Forgot Password” links - if there’s an active, confirmed email address in the registry record, CCS can send what you need so you can retrieve your username or create a new password without calling.
- Call FDLE for help if you can’t recover online - FDLE can help with usernames and can reset passwords at 1-888-357-7332.
- Contact the sheriff’s office if you need your username - the sheriff’s office can provide the username if you don’t have the registration form handy.
Note: Email-based recovery only works if the email on file is confirmed. After an email is registered, you must click the confirmation link sent to that address.
Vehicles Employment Notes
- ✓ Year
- ✓ Make
- ✓ Model
- ✓ Color
- ✓ Vehicle identification number (VIN)
- ✓ Whether the vehicle is owned by the registrant (select the ownership option in CCS)
When you submit an employment update in CCS, it won't look final right away. Employment changes show up as "Pending Review" and are typically accepted by the registry within one business day.
Important: Using CCS to report updates does not change the requirement to complete biannual or quarterly in-person reregistration.
