RYOCF Video Visits: Cost, Scheduling Rules, and What Happens If You're Late
Video visits at Racine Youthful Offender Correctional Facility (RYOCF) are straightforward once you know the timing and payment rules. Here's what you need to know about cost, scheduling through ICSolutions, and what happens if you're late or miss a visit.
RYOCF's visiting guide lists video visits at $2.50 per visit for a 25-minute time slot. The same materials also describe video visiting as
Note: RYOCF materials mention both a $2.50 per-visit fee and
No last-minute bookings here - RYOCF video visits must be scheduled at least 48 hours ahead. You can book up to two weeks out, which helps if you're juggling work or childcare. Slots are first-come, first-served, so booking early gives you more options.
- ✓ Create (or update) your ICSolutions account before you try to schedule
- ✓ Get the unique Party ID from the person in custody and add it to your account
RYOCF lists video visiting hours as Monday–Friday from 2:30pm–7:00pm, and Saturdays/Sundays/holidays from 8:30am–1:30pm. On each video call, a maximum of three visitors can participate at one time.
RYOCF requires a 60-minute gap between visit types. Video calls and in-person visits must be scheduled at least 60 minutes apart in ICSolutions, measured from when the previous visit ends. You can't stack an in-person visit right next to a video call. Keep that buffer in mind when picking your times.
Running late? RYOCF allows you to sign in up to 10 minutes after your video visit's start time. But here's the catch: if you're late or don't cancel soon enough, you'll still be charged. Missed or canceled visits won't be rescheduled, and unused time doesn't carry over week to week.
In-person visits have a stricter arrival rule. If you’re more than 20 minutes late, you won’t be allowed to enter the facility and the visit will be canceled.
Refund eligibility depends on who canceled. If RYOCF cancels due to facility operations, the guide says you'll get a refund. That's different from a missed visit or one you didn't cancel in time - those may still be charged. If you believe the facility canceled but you were billed anyway, check your records and follow up.
- Check whether the visit shows as canceled and why - look in ICSolutions for the visit status and any cancellation notes.
- Gather your details - have the date/time of the visit, the person’s Party ID, and any confirmation/receipt or account history that shows the charge.
- Compare the situation to the policy - if the facility canceled for operations, a refund is expected; if you missed it or didn’t cancel in time, the charge may still apply.
- Contact support with specifics - reach out to ICSolutions support with the visit details and billing record, and follow up with RYOCF through their visiting channels if you need the facility to confirm an operational cancellation.
Practical Tips
- ✓ Schedule as early as you can (you must book at least 48 hours ahead), especially if you need a specific time slot
- ✓ Put the visit time on your calendar with reminders so you’re not rushing at the last minute
- ✓ Sign in early so you’re not relying on the 10-minute late allowance
- ✓ Use a stable internet connection and a device you’ve used successfully for video calls before
- ✓ If you can’t make it, cancel as soon as you can from your ICSolutions account (you’ll need your account access and Party ID set up to manage visits)
Reminder: You can sign in up to 10 minutes late for a video visit, but late arrivals or missed cancellations can still result in a charge.
Before paying, double-check what ICSolutions is actually charging. The visiting guide lists $2.50 per visit, but also uses
