RRJ offers two options: on-site visits at the jail and at-home video visits. Both are scheduled online through the Renovo-Web Scheduler. For at-home video visits, you'll need to pay before the session. RRJ requires pre-payment for each scheduled at-home video session.

Each inmate gets one 45-minute visit per week, so coordinate with other family members before picking a time. Also, inmates aren't eligible for visits during their first 72 hours of incarceration. You may need to wait a few days before the system lets you schedule.

Visits must be scheduled 24 to 72 hours in advance through the Renovo-Web Scheduler. You can't book too far out, and same-day scheduling isn't available.

Schedule tip: On-site visits at RRJ are Monday through Friday only. Plan around weekday availability before locking in a time.

How to Book Info to Have Ready

  • Inmate’s legal name
  • Inmate’s Jail ID number
  • Your official photo ID information
  • Your home address
  • Your telephone number
  • Your email address

Scheduling an at-home video visit? Complete payment before the session. RRJ requires pre-payment for each scheduled at-home video session, and waiting until the last minute can put your visit at risk.

Build in extra time for check-in. RRJ requires visitors to sign in at least 15 minutes before the visit begins. Arriving right at the start time isn't enough.

Late policy: If you're 10 minutes late, the visit is automatically cancelled. Aim to arrive early so traffic delays don't wipe out your time.

One common reason visits get cancelled has nothing to do with you. If the inmate has a court date on the day of your scheduled visit, the Renovo Scheduler automatically cancels it.

Check your email often as your visit approaches so you don't miss a cancellation notice. If your visit gets cancelled due to a court date, you'll need to reschedule through the Renovo-Web Scheduler. Remember: RRJ only allows scheduling 24 to 72 hours in advance.

  1. Watch for Renovo Scheduler updates - Check the email tied to your visitor account, especially the day before and the day of your visit.
  2. Confirm nothing changed on the visit date - If the inmate has court scheduled that same day, Renovo will automatically cancel your visit.
  3. Reschedule online within the allowed window - Use the Renovo-Web Scheduler to pick a new time, keeping the 24 to 72 hour scheduling window in mind.
  • Confirm the inmate is past the first 72 hours of incarceration (visits are not allowed during that initial period).
  • Confirm the inmate has not already used the one 45-minute visit allowed for the week.

Miss the start time by 10 minutes? The system cancels automatically. Visit cancelled because the inmate has court? Also automatic. Either way, your next step is the same: log back into Renovo and schedule a new visit.
