Before you make the trip, confirm you're on the incarcerated person's approved visiting list. No list, no visit. Check with the person you're planning to see ahead of time.

Expect a quick stop at the visiting desk when you arrive. All visitors must register with staff before entering the visiting area - you won't walk straight in and sit down.

A valid driver's license from your state of residence works for visitors 18 and older.

A state-issued photo ID card from your state of residence is also accepted for visitors 18 and up.

Active-duty military? A valid military photo ID works.

A valid passport is accepted for visitors 18 or older.

Note: Your ID must be unexpired. Staff check it during registration at every visit.

Bringing someone under 18? They must stay with their parent or legal guardian the entire time on facility grounds. Plan your group so an adult can always be with them.

Important: Children cannot be left alone at any time while on facility grounds.

  1. Go to the visiting desk - start at the check-in area when you arrive.
  2. Register with staff - registration is required before you can enter the visiting area.
  3. Show your photo ID - have it ready so staff can verify it during registration.
  4. Enter the visiting area when cleared - once staff finishes registration, you’ll be allowed to proceed.
  • If you don’t have an acceptable photo ID, don’t assume you’ll be allowed in - plan to come back after you’ve replaced it.
  • Start the replacement process for your driver’s license, state ID, military ID, or passport as soon as you can so you’re not turned away again.
  • If you’re unsure whether what you have will be accepted, call ahead before you travel so you can confirm what you should bring.
