How to Visit Facility
Before you make the trip, confirm which facility your loved one is housed in. The schedules are different. At the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women (LCIW), visiting days for women on Death Row are Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. At Allen Correctional Center, visiting hours run 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. There's one extra rule to know: in months with a fifth Saturday and/or Sunday, visitation on that extra weekend day is open only to minimum trusty and medium honor imprisoned individuals.
