Understanding RADF's Module-Based Visit Schedule (how to read the schedule and what it means)

RADF uses a module-based visitation schedule, meaning your loved one's visiting time depends on where they're housed. Once you understand the module labels and time slot format, planning visits gets a lot easier.

RADF organizes its visitation schedule by housing module. There's no single set of visiting hours for everyone. Instead, the schedule lists specific modules alongside the days and times those modules can receive visits. Each entry pairs a module name with a day and time range. So an entry like "Module A / I Monday 11:30 am–12:00 pm" means people housed in Module A and Module I share that Monday time slot.

Note: RADF resumed in-person, on-site barrier visits effective March 20, 2023. Always check the current module schedule before planning your trip.

Inmates at RADF are entitled to a minimum of two visits each week, with a total visiting time of one hour per inmate per week. Think of it as a weekly time allowance you can split across visits. This matters for planning because many schedule slots are short. If the module schedule shows half-hour windows, your loved one may need two separate visit days in the same week to use the full hour.

Plan around this: An inmate can only receive one visit per day at RADF. If you want to use two visits in a week, schedule them on two different days.

Let's break down a slot like "Module A / I Monday 11:30 am–12:00 pm." The module label (A or I) tells you which housing area the time applies to. The day tells you when visits happen for that module. And the time range tells you how long the visit window lasts. In this case, 11:30 am to 12:00 pm is a 30-minute slot.

  1. Sign up on the day of the visit - At RADF, sign-ups begin at 7:00 am and end at 6:30 pm on the day of visits.
  2. Meet the one-hour cutoff - You must sign up at least one hour before the scheduled visit time listed for the module.
  • A valid local, state, or federal U.S. government photo ID (required at the time of sign-up/visit)

Not sure which module your loved one is in? Want to double-check the current schedule before making the trip? Call RADF for visitation information at (442) 265-2266. A quick phone call can save you from showing up on the wrong day or missing the sign-up cutoff.

Tip: Use the published module schedule as your starting point, then call to verify the day and time for your loved one's module. Keep in mind the one-visit-per-day limit, and remember that you must sign up at least one hour before the scheduled visit time.
