What to Wear and Bring to Your RADF Visit: Dress Code and Prohibited Items
One wrong outfit choice can get you turned away at the door. Here's what to wear and bring so your RADF visit goes smoothly.
RADF enforces a dress code, and staff will turn you away if your clothing is too revealing. Skip low-cut shirts, short shorts, tank tops, and anything see-through. Spaghetti straps and strapless tops are off-limits too. Dresses and skirts? Keep them at mid-thigh or longer.
Tip: If you’re on the fence about an outfit, go more conservative. It’s the easiest way to avoid being denied at the door.
Travel light. RADF only allows identification, a wallet, and car or home keys inside the visitation area - no purses or bags. You'll need a valid local, state, or federal U.S. government identification card at sign-up and again at entry, so have it ready.
Bring your ID: If you don’t have a valid local, state, or federal U.S. government ID for sign-up/entry, you may not be able to visit.
Expect to be searched before entering. To speed things up, arrive with only what's allowed - ID, wallet, and keys. Leave purses, bags, and anything else locked in your car.
- Leave purses and bags behind - RADF doesn’t allow purses, bags, or other extra items inside.
- Bring only the allowed essentials - carry your identification, a wallet, and/or car or home keys.
- Dress to the RADF standard - avoid low-cut or see-through tops, tank tops, spaghetti straps/strapless clothing, short shorts, and skirts/dresses shorter than mid-thigh.
- Have your government ID ready - you must present a valid local, state, or federal U.S. government identification card at sign-up and/or at the time of the visit.
