Video visits for people detained at Richmond County Jail run through iWebVisit using PayTel Connect. If this is your first time, think of PayTel Connect as the front door. It's where you register, manage scheduling, and handle everything visit-related.

Head to the PayTel Connect sign-in page to get started. You'll see an "En Espanol" option and a message that says, "We're here to help you stay connected." If the page you land on doesn't look like that, back up and make sure you're on the correct PayTel Connect sign-in screen.

  1. Go to the PayTel Connect sign-in page - This is the starting point for Richmond County Jail video visitation.
  2. Register and create your account - Each visitor has to set up an account.
  3. Do this before you try to schedule - Registration is required prior to scheduling an on-site standard video visit.

Note: Your video visitation account must be set up under the primary visitor's legal name. That person is responsible for paying for the visit and for the behavior of everyone included.

The inmate you select when scheduling is the only inmate who can attend that visit. Double-check you've chosen the right person before confirming. And if a judicial official has ordered no contact between you and the inmate, do not schedule a visit.

Richmond County Jail has two video visitation kiosks available on-site for family members. Only two, so plan for the possibility of a short wait if other visitors are already using them.

Stuck during setup? The jail offers in-person help with registering for an on-site standard video visit on Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 pm through 9:30 pm. Try to handle registration beforehand if you can, but those weekend hours are there when you need them.

What to Bring Who Allowed

  • A valid photo identification card (required before you’ll be allowed into the visitation area)
  • No more than three people total in the visitation area for each visitation kiosk

Note: The primary visitor must own the account under their legal name. That account holder is responsible for payment and for everyone's behavior during the visit.

Need a refund for remote video visitation funds? Handle it through PayTel. Do not contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office or Richmond County Jail for remote visit refunds.

For remote video visit refund support (or anything tied to your login), go back to the PayTel Connect sign-in page you used to register. That's the same starting point the jail directs visitors to for remote visitation refund requests.
