ID Requirements for Visiting Someone at Ridgeland: Adults and Kids

At Ridgeland, anyone 10 or older needs a photo ID - both for in-person and virtual visits. Kids age 10 and up must show a government-issued photo ID when visiting in person. For video visits, the visitation coordinator will ask to see photo ID for all approved visitors who are 10 or older, adults included.

For kids under 10, you'll need a certified long-form birth certificate. This applies to both in-person and virtual visits - children nine and younger must present this document as their ID.

Can't use online registration, or don't have the listed ID? You still have options. Paper visitation applications are accepted for adults without an ID or driver's license (if you use a passport or U.S. visa, for example). Paper applications also work for adults with an out-of-state driver's license, or anyone who can't access a computer due to technical issues.
