The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) uses Union Supply for food package orders. You can send packages to people in State Prisons, Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), and Probation Detention Centers.

Only approved family and friends can place orders - you'll go through Union Supply using one of their approved ordering methods.

How to Send Food Packages to Someone in a Georgia Prison (Union Supply — and the Riverbend Exception)
  1. Address your mail order to Union Supply - Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059.
  • Call 1-562-361-5719 to place an order by phone
  • Or call toll-free at 1-855-247-0563

Prefer fax? You can send your order to 1-310-603-1188.

GDC offers a downloadable PDF of the food package program page. Print it out or save it to your phone so you have the rules handy while you shop.

For State Prisons and ITFs, the limit is $100 per person or 15 lbs. per package - whichever you hit first.

Probation Detention Centers have tighter limits: $50 per person or 7 lbs. per package.

Remember: The limit is based on whichever you reach first - either the dollar cap or the weight cap.

Every order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling fee. That fee is non-refundable, so factor it into your budget.

Placing multiple orders for the same person? GDC allows those to be combined into a single package. Just make sure the total stays within the spending and weight limits.

Deadline warning: Any Union Supply orders received after the program deadline will not be accepted.

Riverbend exception: Riverbend Private Prison in Georgia continues to use the Access Securepak package program (not Union Supply) until further notice.
