Robertson County Jail Visitation: What You Need to Know Before You Go

Robertson County Jail limits inmates to one hour of visit time per week. If you’re coordinating with other family members, keep that weekly cap in mind so the time doesn’t get used up before you arrive.

Visitation hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. Plan your day around those windows so you’re not rushing at the last minute.

You can't just show up - every visit must be scheduled through the visitation office, and space is limited. Wait until the day you want to go, and the time slot you need may already be full.

To set up a visit, contact the visitation office directly. Space is limited, so getting your request in early is the easiest way to lock in your spot.

You can also use the GTL visitation portal to schedule or manage visits online. Pick the date, time, and location that works for you - the system confirms your booking instantly.

Tip: Book early. All visits must be scheduled, and limited space fills up fast.

Dress Code

  • Shorts or pajama pants
  • Hats
  • Sunglasses
  • Low-cut blouses
  • Tank tops

Reminder: Dress conservatively. If your outfit doesn't meet the dress code, you'll be denied entry - and nobody wants to walk back to the car to change.

Prohibited Items

  • Weapons (including firearms or knives)
  • Tobacco products
  • Backpacks
  • Food or drinks
  • Books or newspapers

Turn off pagers and cell phones before entering. If staff see a phone out in the visitation area, your visit can be terminated on the spot.

Don't cut it close. More than 15 minutes late? Your visit gets canceled. If something delays you, call the visitation office right away to ask about your options.

Children can visit with a parent or guardian, but they can't disrupt other visitors. Disruptions can end your visit early - and repeated issues may result in a ban.

Keep in mind: Each inmate gets one hour of visitation per week. A terminated visit still counts against that time, so if you're bringing kids, plan ahead to keep things calm.
