Robertson County Jail holds visitation only on Wednesday and Sunday, with separate time slots for female and male inmates. Each inmate gets one 20-minute visit per visitation day. You can split that time among up to five approved visitors, but only one person can be in the visitation room at a time. Before your visit, you'll need to be on the inmate's approved visitor list and sign the visitation log at the counter. Leave everything in your car—no purses, packages, books, food, or beverages allowed inside. Bringing unauthorized items can result in permanent loss of visitation privileges or criminal charges. Smoking isn't permitted in the front lobby or visitation room, and if your children become disruptive, staff may ask you to leave.

Robertson Unit uses NCIC for inmate communication. To send electronic messages, use NCIC's Inmate Messaging system at NCIC.com—you can attach photos or documents for an additional per-item fee. For phone calls, set up an account through NCIC Inmate Communications. Need to accept collect calls on a cell phone? Fund an NCIC Prepaid Collect Account tied to your phone number. Phone access is generally available 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, though the facility sets the exact schedule.

Robertson Unit routes personal mail through a central processing address. Send letters to PO Box 591, Longview, TX 75606, and include the inmate's full name and booking number on the envelope. Mail is screened and processed digitally—anything sent to this address won't be returned and is destroyed after processing. Stick to the limits: standard letter-size pages (8.5" x 11" max) and no more than five pages total. Go over, and your mailing gets returned. Photos are strictly limited to one per mailing. Include more than one, and the entire mailing comes back with nothing delivered. Magazines, newspapers, bulk mail, and books can't go to the PO Box—send those directly to the facility instead.

Don't mail a money order to Robertson County Jail—the Sheriff's Office no longer accepts them for inmate accounts. Instead, add funds or place commissary orders through Lone Star Commissary's online portal or the kiosk in the Sheriff's Office front lobby. Tiger Commissary also lists Robertson County Jail (Franklin, TX) as a selectable facility for certain deposit or commissary services. Skip the cash and personal checks too. Payment methods, processing rules, and fees vary by vendor and kiosk, so confirm any requirements with the inmate or facility before submitting a deposit.
