Before You Go: St. Lucie County Jail Visit Rules Checklist
Visiting someone at St. Lucie County Jail goes smoothly when you know the rules upfront. This checklist will help you avoid a canceled visit—or worse, losing your visitation privileges.
Arrive at the St. Lucie County Jail visitation center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Show up with less than that, and your visit may be canceled - even if you're only a few minutes late.
ID
- ✓ Valid Florida driver’s license (or a valid driver’s license from another state)
- ✓ Valid state ID
- ✓ Valid passport
- ✓ Valid military ID
- ✓ Anything expired or not on this list won’t be accepted at the time of the visit.
Dress conservatively. Shoes and shirts are required. The jail won't allow suggestive clothing, see-through fabrics, halter tops, tube tops, tank tops, short shorts, or mini-skirts. And if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you won't be admitted to the video visitation area.
Leave your cell phone and any other electronic devices outside the video visitation area. Bring them in, and you could lose your visit.
- ✓ No smoking in the video visitation area
- ✓ No eating in the video visitation area
- ✓ No drinking in the video visitation area
- ✓ Don’t leave trash in the visitation booth or visiting area
Minors aren't allowed to visit at St. Lucie County Jail right now. They also can't wait in the visitation area or the lobby, so arrange childcare before you leave home.
- ✓ No more than 2 visitors may check in per visit
- ✓ Only 1 visitor may actually visit at a time
Only scheduled visitors can enter the video visitation area - don't bring extra guests expecting them to wait inside. Once you leave, you can't come back in, so take care of anything you need beforehand. During your visit, stay at your assigned booth. Walking around or switching booths isn't allowed.
Warning: Breaking visitation rules can lead to your visit being canceled immediately and/or your future visitation privileges being suspended.
