How to Schedule Your First Visit at St. Lucie County Jail (Step-by-Step)
Scheduling your first visit might seem overwhelming, but St. Lucie County Jail keeps it simple: create a GettingOut account, add your inmate as a contact, and pick an available time slot.
The scheduling system shows available appointment times for your specific inmate. These vary based on their housing location, classification, and how many visitation stations are open. Some housing areas operate on a first-come, first-served basis - but you'll still need to complete registration before visiting.
All visits are scheduled video visits lasting up to 1 hour (they end automatically when time's up). Each inmate gets two one-hour visits per week, so plan your time slots carefully.
- Create your GettingOut account (one-time registration) - Use GettingOut on the web or the mobile app and complete the account setup. You have to do this once before you’ll be able to access visit scheduling.
- Go to Contacts and start the visit workflow - After you’re logged in, follow the path the jail uses for scheduling: Contacts → Add inmate → Schedule Visit.

In GettingOut, open the Contacts tab and add the person you want to visit. Select
St. Lucie County Jail uses scheduling-only video visits with a specific booking window. You can schedule, modify, or cancel an appointment not less than 1 day and no more than 14 days in advance.
To book your visit, open your contact list, select the inmate, and tap Schedule Visit, then Facility Video Visit. Pick a day and time from the available slots. The options you see depend on the inmate's housing location, classification, and station availability - so schedules can look different for different inmates.
Reminder: Visits last up to 1 hour and end automatically. Each inmate receives two one-hour visits per week.
Cutoff time: Schedule your visitation before 11:00 p.m. to make sure it shows up for next-day availability. If you schedule after 11:00 p.m., you’ll need to reschedule for another day.
Arrive early. You need to be at St. Lucie County Jail's visitation center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Show up later than that, and your visit may be canceled.
