How to Address Mail to Salem County Jail Correctly (so it doesn't get returned)
Mail gets returned or destroyed for small labeling mistakes. Use the checklist below, and double-check the jail's street address before sending anything.
Start with the basics: Salem County Jail requires the inmate's full name on every piece of mail. Missing or incomplete names mean your letter could be returned before it ever reaches your loved one.

One published address lists Salem County Jail at 125 Cemetery Road, Woodstown, NJ 08098.
However, a separate Salem County document (a registration form PDF) shows a different street number: 135 Cemetery Road, Woodstown, NJ 08098.
Verify first: Because the street address appears in two different forms, confirm the current correct address with the facility before mailing anything time-sensitive or sending packages.
