How to Schedule Your Visit at San Francisco County Jail 2 (day-before signups & time slots)
For San Francisco County Jail #2, visiting sign-ups open at 9:00 a.m. the day before your visit. So if you’re trying to visit on Saturday, you’ll need to sign up after 9:00 a.m. on Friday (and for a Sunday visit, sign up after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday).
All jail visits - County Jail #2 included - are scheduled online. You're responsible for knowing the visiting hours and procedures for the specific facility, so double-check that you're selecting a CJ#2 time slot (not another jail's schedule) when you book.
CJ#2 offers set time slots in the morning and afternoon. Know which one you want before scheduling opens - slots fill up fast, and you'll want to move quickly.
Morning time slot: 9:20–9:50 a.m.
Morning time slot: 10:00–10:30 a.m.
Morning time slot: 10:40–11:10 a.m.
Afternoon time slot: 12:20–12:50 p.m.
Afternoon time slot: 1:00–1:30 p.m.
Afternoon time slot: 1:40–2:10 p.m.
Note: County Jail #2 facilitates visiting on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Arrive early. CJ#2 requires visitors to be in the lobby at least 10 minutes before their scheduled slot. Cut it close, and you risk missing your visit entirely.
Heads up: Lockers in the CJ#2 lobby are limited, so plan to leave valuables in your car if possible.
