How to Visit San Joaquin Jail (CA)

San Joaquin Jail visiting hours run 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Wednesdays go later, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Build in time for the required sign-up before you head over. You must sign up at least one half hour prior to the next available visit. Sign-ups are first-come, first-served and close once all visiting rooms have been reserved. Arriving early gives you the best shot at getting a slot.

Plan your group size based on where your person is housed. At the South Jail and Jail Core, up to three people may visit an inmate at a time. That limit includes infants and children. The Honor Farm allows fewer visitors. Only two people may visit at a time, and infants and children count toward that number too.

Bring your ID: You'll need valid state or federal photo identification (California ID is preferred). Photos are not allowed during visits, and cell phones are prohibited in visiting areas.

For Intake and Jail Visiting, turn right on Canlis Blvd and head into the facility's public parking area.
