Visiting Hours at San Luis Obispo County Jail: Men's vs. Women's Facilities
Visiting someone at San Luis Obispo County Jail comes down to two things: you need an appointment, and the men's and women's facilities run on different schedules. Here's the breakdown of on-site hours and the timing rules that can make or break your visit.
On-site visits at San Luis Obispo County Jail are appointment-only. Show up without a scheduled time and you'll be turned away - even during posted visiting hours.
As of April 7, 2025, all on-site visits must be booked through the NCIC system. Head to videovisit.ncic.com to register and pick an appointment time that matches the on-site hours for the men's or women's facility.
- ✓ Book no more than 7 days in advance.
- ✓ Schedule at least 48 hours before the visit time (no less than 48 hours prior).
Timing matters: You must be checked in and in line at least 45 minutes before your scheduled visit - otherwise it gets canceled. Aim to arrive 60 minutes early so you're not cutting it close.
Each inmate can have two one-hour on-site visits per week. The jail's visiting week runs Sunday through Saturday, so plan accordingly if you're trying to fit in two visits or space them out.
